SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A Proud Boys march apparently took place on Saturday in Saratoga Springs, with reports of additional sightings in Ballston Spa and Waterford. Since then, Mayor Ron Kim and Public Safety Office Commissioner Jim Montagnino have released public statements on the presence of the group, which has been criticized by the International Center for Counter-Terrorism, the Southern Poverty Law Center, and the Anti-Defamation League. TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Troy man was arrested on Wednesday in connection to Friday's 4th Street Shooting in Troy. Pierre Townsend, 34, faces multiple charges. WATERVLIET, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Watervliet Police Department arrested Justyce Matthew, 48, for animal cruelty. The arrest stemmed from an investigation into a deceased canine left on the sidewalk of First Avenue on July 5. Get the latest news, weather, sports and entertainment delivered right to your inbox! According to the police, a four-year-old French Bulldog suffered from a medical emergency. Matthew, identified as the owner, did not provide the required care. Matthew then dispensed the animal on the sidewalk after it passed away. “Not only did the defendant cause inconceivable distress to this dog, but he also failed to provide the medical treatment that could have saved its life,” said Watervliet Police Chief Joseph Centanni. “Instead, the offender engaged in several acts to avoid detection, including discarding the deceased animal on the sidewalk like trash."Matthew was released on an appearance ticket.

ST. LOUIS - An investigation is underway after a child was shot Wednesday morning in north St. Louis. This is the third investigation into a shooting involving a child this week in the St. Louis metropolitan area.The shooting happened around 9:40 a.m. Wednesday in the 10700 block of Spring Garden Drive in the Glasgow Village neighborhood. Check the radar -- Storms expected Wednesday The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department reports a 9-year-old was shot. The child was reportedly inside a home when someone outside fired several shots at the home, at least one which struck the child.Police say the child is currently being treated for non-life-threatening injuries at a hospital.In two shootings near St. Louis City earlier this week, one in Berkeley, Missouri, and one in Belleville Illinois, one child had died from gunfire in both instances.This is a developing story. HAZELWOOD, Mo. - Popular fast food chain Captain D's announced Wednesday that its third express model nationwide and first in the St. Louis metropolitan area is now open for business. The new Captain D's, located at 8001 Lindbergh Boulevard in Hazelwood, vows to be a fast seafood restaurant experience. It consists of a double drive-thru, which a spokesperson says has improved service times by up to a minute and a half and increased the number of cars that pass through each day by up to 35%.
